The FHWA, on behalf of the State Department of Transportation (California DOT), is issuing this notice to announce actions taken by California DOT and other Federal agencies that are final agency actions. These actions relate to the proposed project to rehabilitate the Caldecott Tunnel Bores 1, 2 and 3. The project will preserve the structural integrity of the tunnel, improve ventilation performance and fire-fighting operational response, and extend its service life.
