Résumé
The United States Forest Service (USFS) has filed an application with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) that proposes to extend the duration of Public Land Order (PLO) No. 6870 for an additional 20-year term. PLO No. 6870 withdrew approximately 1,400 acres of National Forest System land from mining in order to protect scientific and ecological values at the Steamboat Mountain Research Natural Area. The withdrawal created by PLO No. 6870 will expire on August 27, 2011, unless extended. This notice also gives an opportunity to comment on the proposed action and to request a public meeting.
