Résumé

On May 2, 2016, the State of Louisiana submitted a request for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to redesignate the five- parish Baton Rouge Nonattainment Area (BRNA or Area) for the 2008 8- hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS or standard) to attainment and to approve a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision containing a maintenance plan for the area. EPA is proposing to determine that the BRNA is continuing to attain the 2008 ozone NAAQS; to approve into the SIP the State's plan for maintaining attainment of the standard in the Area, including the motor vehicle emission budgets (MVEBs) for nitrogen oxides (NO X ) and volatile organic compounds (VOC) for the years 2022 and 2027; and to redesignate the BRNA to attainment for the standard.
