Notice of Intent and Notice of Scoping Meetings for the Long-Term Recapture and Recirculation of San Joaquin River Restoration Program Flows Environmental Impact Statement

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Long-term Recapture and Recirculation of San Joaquin River Restoration Program Flows. The San Joaquin River Restoration Program is being implemented pursuant to the Stipulation of Settlement in NRDC, et al. v. Kirk Rodgers, et al. (Settlement) and the San Joaquin River Restoration Settlement Act (SJRRS), Title X of Public Law 111-11 (SJRRS Act). In accordance with Paragraph 16(a) of the Settlement and Section 10004(a)(4) of the SJRRS Act, Reclamation intends to develop and implement a long-term plan for recirculation, recapture, reuse, exchange or transfer of restoration flows for the purpose of reducing or avoiding impacts to water deliveries to all of the participating Friant Division long-term contractors.
