Procedures for Reimbursement of Airports, On-Airport Parking Lots and Vendors of On-Airfield Direct Services to Air Carriers for Security Mandates

Résumé
We are proposing procedures for certain operators to apply for reimbursement of allowable costs incurred to comply with certain security requirements imposed by the FAA or Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on or after September 11, 2001. These procedures are need to inform airport operations, on-airport parking lots, and vendors of on-airfield direct services to air carriers how to apply for reimbursement of allowable costs. In the event that funds are appropriated for this purpose, the FAA or TSA would use the applications to approve reimbursement of allowable costs as described in this proposed rule.
