Résumé

The Departments of Labor, Education, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, and Housing and Urban Development, as part of continuing efforts to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)). This program helps to ensure that reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized; collection instruments are clearly understood; and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. This notice by the Employment and Training Administration (on behalf of all the aforementioned agencies) is to solicit comments concerning proposed guidance for States to submit a Unified Plan under Section 501 of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. A copy of this proposed guidance is provided at the end of this notice. The proposed guidance is published for the purpose of obtaining comment on its information collection requirements from the public.
