Résumé

This notice announces the availability of and requests comments on a proposed AC pertaining to guidance for use in determining the eligibility of and evaluating U.S. military surplus flight safety critical aircraft parts for installation on U.S. type certificated products. This notice is necessary to give all interested persons the opportunity to present their views on the proposed AC.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of Renewed Approval of Information Collection: Experimental Aircraft: Letters of Deviation Authority (LODA)

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on February 23, 2026. The collection involves the submission of an application to obtain a Letter of Deviation Authority to permit flight instruction for compensation or hire aboard experimental- category aircraft under 14 CFR 91.319. The information to be collected will be used to determine whether such flight instruction can be conducted safely.

Airworthiness Directives; Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG Engines

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG (RRD) Model Trent7000-72 and Trent7000-72C engines. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of engine in-flight shut-downs (IFSDs) caused by the premature failure of certain parts. This proposed AD would prohibit the installation of certain lubrication/scavenge pumps unless certain installation criteria are met. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Airworthiness Directives; Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Airplanes

The FAA is revising a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would have applied to certain Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-12 airplanes. This action revises the NPRM by changing the applicability. The FAA is proposing this airworthiness directive (AD) to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions would impose an additional burden over those in the NPRM for different airplanes, the FAA is requesting comments on this SNPRM.

Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Helicopters

The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-25-14, which applies to certain Airbus Helicopters Model EC130T2 helicopters. AD 2023-25-14 revises the procedures for inspecting the vibration level on the tail rotor drive shaft and, depending on these results, requires replacing certain parts. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-25-14, the manufacturer developed a modification of the rear drive shaft, sliding flange and equipped splined sleeve. This proposed AD would require installing this modification and repetitively inspecting the vibration level of the tail rotor drive shaft. This proposed AD would also prohibit the installation of certain parts and prohibit the performance of a balance correction unless certain requirements are met. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of Renewed Approval of Information Collection: for the Information Collection Entitled, Website for Frequency Coordination Request

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection via the FAA's deployed Web-based Frequency Coordination system (WebFCR), which collects certain broadcast and transmitter frequency information under OMB control number 2120-0786. The information collected is needed to perform the aeronautical studies, technical evaluations required, and to meet the specified requirements for the radio frequency engineering pursuant to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 6050.32.B, Chapter 3, Section 302. This FAA Order outlines the U.S. National Organizations and the role of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in assigning and coordinating the Aviation Assignment Group (AAG) radio spectrum used by the FAA to support aeronautical services. Hence, the FAA must "authorize" aeronautical frequencies of broadcast applications that impact the AAG bands.
