On April 28, 1997, the Commission released a public notice announcing that the May 14, 1997, meeting of the North American Numbering Council (NANC) will be closed to the public. The May 14 meeting and its agenda had been announced in a public notice published in the Federal Register on March 28, 1997 (See 62 FR 14907). The intended effect of this action is to make the public aware that the May 14 NANC meeting will now be closed to the public, and only NANC members and FCC employees may attend.
