Selection of Reporting Currency for Financial Statements of Foreign Private Issuers, et al.; Final Rules and Proposed Rule SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION

The Commission is announcing the adoption of amendments to Regulation S-X and Form 20-F to facilitate registration and reporting by foreign private issuers. The amendments allow foreign issuers flexibility in the selection of the reporting currency used in filings with the Commission, and streamline financial statement reconciliation requirements for foreign private issuers with operations in countries with hyperinflationary economies.
