Disposal of High-Level Radioactive Wastes in Geologic Repositories; Design Basis Events
Traduction automatique locale · Langue originale de la source
Résumé
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is proposing to amend its policy on the protection of public health and safety from activities conducted at a geologic repository operations area (GROA) before permanent closure. In particular, the proposed rule would address the measures that are required to provide defense in depth against the consequences of ``design basis events.'' These measures include prescribed design requirements, quality assurance requirements, and the establishment of a preclosure controlled area from which members of the public can be excluded.
