The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for the Fireworks on the Navesink '94 program that will take place in the Navesink River. This event will occur on July 3, 1994, from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. with a rain date of July 4, 1994 from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. and will temporarily close all waters between the north and south shores of the Navesink River, extending approximately 300 yards east and 300 yards west of two fireworks barges anchored together off of Red Bank, NJ. This safety zone will preclude vessels from transiting the Navesink River and is needed to protect the boating public from the hazards associated with fireworks exploding in the area.
