Section 14(c) of the Consumer Product Safety Act authorizes the Consumer Product Safety Commission ("Commission" or "CPSC") to require, through rulemaking, labels for a consumer product that would identify the date and place of manufacture of the product, cohort information (batch, run number, or other identifying characteristic), and the manufacturer of the product. 15 U.S.C. 2063(c). This notice requests comments and information about such a rulemaking with regard to drywall.

National Roundtable on Childhood Drowning Prevention; Notice of Public Meeting and Request for Comment

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) announces a public roundtable to discuss strategies for reducing childhood drowning associated with consumer products. The roundtable is intended to assist the Commission in evaluating existing approaches to childhood drowning prevention and identifying opportunities to strengthen future Commission actions, including public education, consumer product safety initiatives, standards development, research, stakeholder engagement, and other efforts intended to reduce childhood drowning. The roundtable will consist of invited participants representing a range of relevant disciplines and stakeholder perspectives. The Commission also invites interested persons and entities to submit written comments on the topics identified in this notice. Information received through the roundtable and public comments will assist the Commission in evaluating future priorities for reducing childhood drowning associated with consumer products.

Agency Information Collection Activities; Extension of Collection; Safety Standard for Adult Portable Bed Rails

As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) announces that the Commission has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for extension of approval of information collection requirements associated with the Safety Standard for Adult Portable Bed Rails. OMB previously approved the collection of information under control number 3041-0192. OMB's most recent extension of approval will expire on August 31, 2026. On April 24, 2026, CPSC published a notice in the Federal Register to announce the agency's intention to seek extension of approval of the collection of information. The Commission did not receive any public comments. Therefore, by publication of this notice, the Commission announces that CPSC has submitted to OMB a request for extension of approval of that collection of information.
