Fisheries of the Exclusive Economic Zone Off Alaska; Prohibition of Nonpelagic Trawl Gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Directed Pollock Fishery

Resumen

The North Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) has submitted Amendment 57 to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for the Groundfish Fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Area (BSAI). This amendment would prohibit the use of nonpelagic trawl gear in the directed pollock fishery in the BSAI. Comments from the public are requested.
