Groundfish Fishery of the Gulf of Alaska; Fisheries of the Exclusive Economic Zone; Proposed 1998 Harvest Specifications for Groundfish

Resumen

NMFS proposes 1998 harvest specifications for groundfish, reserves and apportionment thereof, Pacific halibut prohibited species catch (PSC) limits, and associated management measures for the groundfish fishery of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA). This action is necessary to establish harvest limits and associated management measures for groundfish the 1998 fishing year. The intended effect of this action is to conserve and manage the groundfish resources in the GOA and to provide an opportunity for public participation in the annual groundfish specification process.
