This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Fokker Model F28 Mark 0100 series airplanes, that requires replacement of certain flexible oxygen hoses, located in the flight compartment gangway and in the consoles, with insulated hose assemblies. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent chafing of the flexible oxygen hoses, which could result in an uncontrollable loss of oxygen from the flightcrew oxygen system, and could allow the presence of oxygen in areas where ignition is possible.
