National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Ethylene Oxide Commercial Sterilization and Fumigation Operations
Traducción automática local · Idioma original de la fuente
Resumen
The proposed standards would limit emissions of ethylene oxide (EO) from existing and new commercial sterilization and fumigation operations. The proposed national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) implement section 112(d) of the Clean Air Act (Act). The intent of the proposed standards is to protect public health by requiring existing and new major sources and existing area sources to control emissions to the level achievable by the maximum achievable control technology (MACT), and by requiring new area sources to control emissions using generally available control technology (GACT).
