Receipt of Application for Emergency Exemption To Use Fomesafen; Solicitation of Public Comment

Resumen

EPA has received a specific exemption request from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (hereafter referred to as the ``Applicant'') for use of the pesticide fomesafen (EPA Reg. No. 10182-83) to control broadleaf weeds on up to 27,950 acres of dry and snap beans in New York. In accordance with 40 CFR 166.24, EPA is soliciting public comment before making the decision whether or not to grant the exemption.
