The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is confirming the effective date of April 14, 1994, of the final rule published in the Federal Register of March 14, 1994 (59 FR 11718) that amended the color additive regulations to provide for the safe use of D&C Violet No. 2 to color poly( -caprolactone) absorbable sutures for general surgery.
