The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is confirming the effective date of September 12, 1994, of the final rule that appeared in the Federal Register of August 10, 1994 (59 FR 40802), that amended the color additive regulations to provide for the use of D&C Green No. 5 for coloring drugs and cosmetics intended for use in the area of the eye.
