Notice is hereby given that the California Desert District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), pursuant to regulatory procedures for land use planning under the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 CFR 1610.5-S), intends to amend the Federal Register Notice dated July 18, 1994, page 36448, to consider an amendment to the California Desert Conservation Area Plan for the purpose of identifying public land areas which may be suitable for wind energy development and to analyze the impacts of any proposed amendment and alternatives in an environmental impact statement (EIS).
