Federal Agencies Need OMB Approval to Collect Public Information
Federal agencies must obtain approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) before collecting certain information from the public, and must solicit public comment on proposed information collections, as mandated by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
