NCUA Issues Final Rule to Update Credit Union Insolvency Definition

The NCUA Board is updating its Chartering and Field of Membership Manual to extend the time period for credit unions to be considered 'in danger of insolvency' and to include those that have received assistance under the Federal Credit Union Act.
