US Allows Importation of Non-Compliant East Lancashire Buses

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has decided that certain model year 2000 East Lancashire Coachbuilders Limited Double Decker Tri-Axle buses with Volvo B7L chassis, which were not originally manufactured to meet all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, can be imported into the US due to their safety features that meet or can be adapted to meet the standards.
