NHTSA Releases Final Technical Specification for VIN-Based Safety Recalls

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released the final technical specification for a VIN-based safety recalls look-up tool, which will be available on the NHTSA website www.safercar.gov, following a public meeting on January 22, 2014, where industry representatives and consumer advocacy groups discussed the specifications.
