NHTSA Requests Comments on Preliminary Motor Vehicle Theft Data for 2012
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking public comments on preliminary data showing a 14.21% increase in motor vehicle theft rates for 2012 vehicles compared to 2011 vehicles, with a preliminary theft rate of 1.1294 thefts per thousand vehicles.
