EPA and NHTSA Adopt Corrections to Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Regulations
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), on behalf of the U.S. Department of Transportation, are adopting corrections to their respective Medium- and Heavy-Duty Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Fuel Efficiency final rule, issued on September 15, 2011. The amendments aim to eliminate duplicative reporting requirements, align testing procedures with market realities, and reduce unnecessary testing burdens.
