Federal Agencies Need OMB Approval for Public Information Collections
Before collecting public information, federal agencies must obtain approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and solicit public comment on proposed collections, as mandated by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA).
