NHTSA Denies Motor Vehicle Defect Petition for 1989-1992 Ford Probe Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has denied a petition submitted by Mr. Richard H. McSwain of McSwain Engineering Inc. to investigate potential safety defects in model year 1989-1992 Ford Probe vehicles related to their manual seatback recliner mechanism. The agency has concluded that further investigation is not warranted.
