NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 2005 Toyota RAV4 MPVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision to permit the importation of 2005 Toyota RAV4 multipurpose passenger vehicles that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to vehicles originally certified for U.S. sale and can be modified to meet safety standards.
