NHTSA Grants Temporary Exemption to YES! Sportscars for Advanced Air Bag Requirements

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has granted a temporary exemption to YES! Sportscars for certain advanced air bag requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, allowing the company to sell its YES! Roadster 3.2 and 3.2 Turbo models until August 31, 2009. The exemption was granted due to substantial economic hardship and a negligible impact on motor vehicle safety.
