Atlantic Herring Fishery Management Restrictions in Area 1A

Summary

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries announced that 95% of the allocated Atlantic herring catch for Management Area 1A in the Northeastern United States will be harvested by November 19, 2004. As a result, vessels are restricted from landing more than 2,000 pounds of Atlantic herring in or from Area 1A until January 1, 2005.
