NHTSA Amends Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for Hybrid Electric Systems and Delayed Effective Date
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has revised a federal motor vehicle safety standard to accommodate hybrid electric systems on trucks and delayed the effective date of the rule, in response to petitions from General Motors and International Truck and Engine Corporation.
