NHTSA Seeks OMB Approval for New Odometer Disclosure Form
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for a new form to be used under the Federal Odometer Law. The form requires a written disclosure of a vehicle's mileage, which must be provided to the transferee when a motor vehicle is transferred. This disclosure is typically made on the vehicle's title, but can also be made on a separate form or a state-issued secure power of attorney if the title is lost or held by a lien holder.
