NHTSA Terminates Rulemaking Proceeding on Rear Impact Seat Performance

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has decided not to take action on a proposed rule to improve motor vehicle seat performance in rear impacts, citing the need for additional research and data analyses, and instead will continue studying the issue in the future.
