NHTSA Denies Petition to Investigate Vehicle Stopping Distance Issue

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has denied a petition submitted by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC, requesting an investigation into alleged increased vehicle stopping distance due to defects in the EC-17 antilock braking system electronic control unit and the Dura Drain M-12 modulator, both manufactured by Bendix.
