Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Must Report Defect Information and Retain Records Under New NHTSA Rule

The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has adopted a new rule requiring motor vehicle and equipment manufacturers to report customer satisfaction campaign information and retain records that could indicate defects, in order to help identify safety issues more promptly.
