Ford Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for High-Theft Line, the Ford Taurus

The U.S. government has granted Ford Motor Company a full exemption from a federal standard requiring parts marking on high-theft vehicles, including the Ford Taurus, due to the effectiveness of an antitheft device as a deterrent to motor vehicle theft.
