Zusammenfassung
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Tolerance Reassessment Advisory Committee (TRAC) will hold a public meeting on October 20-21, 1999. Among the agenda topics planned for discussion are the following: updates on tolerance reassessment progress, science policy issues and the worker risk assessment process; a status report on organophosphate pesticides, including a the pilot public participation process; transition strategies; and a discussion of options for continuing an open forum and transparent process to discuss tolerance reassessment and FQPA implementation issues. TRAC was established in May 1998 as a subcommittee under the auspices of the EPA National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT) in response to Vice President Gore's request for EPA and the USDA to work together to ensure implementation of the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA).
