Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment

Zusammenfassung

In this document, NHTSA proposes to rescind the Federal motor vehicle safety standard on headlamp concealment devices and to transfer its essential provisions to the safety standard on lamps, reflective devices and associated equipment. NHTSA further proposes to simplify some of the transferred provisions. This proposed action is part of the President's Regulatory Reinvention Initiative to make regulations easier to understand and to apply.
