NCUA is issuing proposed revisions to the rules governing corporate credit unions. As the credit union industry has become more complex and competitive, the demands on corporate credit unions have become greater. Corporate credit unions are providing a greater variety of more sophisticated services. The proposed rule is intended to strengthen corporate credit union capital and ensure that the risk on corporate credit union balance sheets is adequately managed and controlled.
