Zusammenfassung

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is proposing to revise its rules governing corporate applications and notices. This proposal is another component of the OCC's Regulation Review Program to update and streamline OCC regulations and to reduce unnecessary regulatory costs and other burdens. The proposal would extensively revise and reorganize the OCC's rules for national bank corporate activities. The purpose of the proposal is to modernize and clarify the rules, reduce regulatory burden in connection with national bank corporate activities, and, consistent with statutory requirements, impose regulatory requirements only where needed to address safety and soundness concerns or accomplish other statutory responsibilities of the OCC.
