Notice of Advisory Committee Establishment; Notice of Advisory Committee Meetings

Zusammenfassung

The Federal Communications Commission has established the LMDS/FSS 28 GHz Band Negotiated Rulemaking Committee (Committee). The Committee will provide expert advice and recommendations to the Federal Communications Commission to be used in the formulation of technical rules which should be adopted for the Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) and/or the Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) so as to maximize the co-frequency sharing of the 27.5-29.5 GHz frequency band (``28 GHz band'') between these services. The establishment of this Committee is necessary and in the public interest. In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Public Law 92-463, as amended, this notice also advises interested persons of the initial and proposed subsequent meetings of the Committee.
