NMFS Adjusts Atlantic Herring Catch Limit in Management Area 1A

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has adjusted the sub-annual catch limit for Atlantic Herring in Management Area 1A for the 2011 fishing year, following an under-harvest in the New Brunswick weir fishery, in compliance with the 2010-2012 specifications and management measures outlined in the Atlantic Herring Fishery Management Plan.
