NMFS Issues Incidental Harassment Authorization for Marine Geophysical Survey in Central Pacific Ocean

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has granted an Incidental Harassment Authorization (IHA) to Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (L-DEO), a unit of Columbia University, to take marine mammals by harassment during a marine geophysical survey in the central Pacific Ocean from November 2011 to January 2012, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) regulations.
