BOEMRE Releases Draft SEIS for 2012 Oil and Gas Lease Sale in Gulf of Mexico

Summary

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) has released a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for mid-2012 in the Central Planning Area (CPA) of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) in the Gulf of Mexico. The proposed sale, Lease Sale 216/222, is the final lease sale in the 2007-2012 5-Year OCS Program and will be held off the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
