FTC Seeks OMB Extension for Used Car Rule Clearance

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is requesting the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to extend the clearance of its Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) clearance for the Used Motor Vehicle Trade Regulation Rule (Used Car Rule) until February 28, 2017, as the current clearance expires on February 28, 2014. The FTC aims to enforce the information collection requirements in this regulation, which applies to used vehicle dealers.
