NMFS Extends Emergency Rule to Exempt Golden King Crab from Regional Designation Requirements

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is extending an emergency rule to allow fishermen in the Western Aleutian Islands golden king crab fishery to deliver crab harvested with individual fishing quota (IFQ) to processors outside the West region, due to a recent unforeseen event that has closed all crab processing facilities in the West region for the 2010/2011 fishing season.
