US Commodity Futures Trading Commission Determines Australia's Laws Sufficient for Comparability with Swap Dealer and Major Swap Participant Requirements

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has analyzed the Australian Bankers Association's request and determined that Australia's laws provide a sufficient basis for an affirmative finding of comparability with respect to certain regulatory obligations applicable to swap dealers and major swap participants, including requirements for chief compliance officers, risk management, and swap data recordkeeping.
