BOEMRE Cancels Oil and Gas Lease Sale 215 in Gulf of Mexico

Summary

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) has cancelled Oil and Gas Lease Sale 215 in the Western Planning Area (WPA) of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM), following the Secretary of the Interior's decision announced by President on May 27, 2010, to delay the sale to allow for improved safety measures and environmental protection measures to be developed and implemented.
