NMFS Prohibits Directed Fishing for Pacific Cod in Bering Sea

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod in the Bering Sea subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area, except for the Community Development Quota (CDQ) program, to prevent exceeding the 2022 total allowable catch (TAC) for the species in the area.
